TO KNOW CHRIST AND TO BE COMMITTED DISCIPLES IN
GOD'S KINGDOM HERE ON EARTH

Music Ministry

First Presbyterian Church has a vibrant and extensive music program. The Chancel Choir is led by Dr. Michael Lancaster, who also serves as Conductor of the Asheville Symphony Chorus. Organist/Pianist, Angie Jenkins, has served as principal accompanist at the church since 1976. In addition to the Chancel Choir and Sacred Sounds Bell Choir, many world-class guest instrumentalists and vocalists – as well as occasional guest choirs greatly enhance numerous worship services throughout the year. Two “Bluegrass Sundays” are scheduled each year. A number of concerts are presented throughout the season, in addition to old fashioned Hymn Sings and a Christmas Carol Sing each December. The church installed a 2 manual 16 rank Wicks pipe organ in 2004.

Here is a link to our 2019 Summer Concert Series list with a list of all of this year’s concerts!
